They consist of a row of lifelike teeth that are securely attached to a gum-like base, and they typically stay in place with natural suction or dental adhesive. They’re removable as well, allowing for easier cleaning. Full dentures can be a big help for patients who’ve suffered significant tooth loss, allowing then to speak more clearly, eat confidently, and even prevent the facial muscles from sagging over time.  Having dentures fabricated today is completely different than 20 years ago.  We highly recommend incorporating dental implant into a denture patient’s treatment plan.

Partial Dentures

Both full and partial dentures should always be handled with great care. Make sure to brush and rinse them daily – however, use denture cleaner, as many toothpastes can be too abrasive for the material. When you’re not wearing your denture, they should always be kept moist so that their original shape isn’t lost due to drying out. Just place them in a cup of room temperature water or denture soaking solution next to your bed and you can sleep easy every night.
